Wisconsin 101: Our History in Objects
UX & Managing Editor, July 2015 - January 2017
Wisconsin 101 is a participatory history project that invites Wisconsin residents to research and write history using everyday objects as inspiration. The project includes an online exhibit and programming on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Wisconsin Life.
As Wisconsin 101’s managing editor, I recruited, edited, and published all content submissions. Because many submissions were stalling in production, I revised the submission guide and created an editorial workflow that together helped more projects reach completion. I also redesigned the user experience of the project’s online exhibit to improve site navigation, page layouts, and clarify the many rich connections among Wisconsin 101’s stories.
