Founder & Organizer, 2013 - Present
Burning Lobster brings together over fifty participants each year to share food, make art, perform, and celebrate on a secluded sandbar of the Wisconsin River.
Founded in 2013, the event has grown in size and scope. Burning Lobster 2017 included a ferry service to and from the sandbar, a kitchen, latrines, power infrastructure, a community meal, aerial arts, DJs, participant art projects, and a sixteen-foot tall lobster effigy.
Borrowing from the culture and philosophy of Burning Man, Burning Lobster strives to create an inclusive, safe community of play, free expression, and environmental responsibility.
